The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people, including a juvenile, following a vehicle pursuit early Friday morning, according to a news release.
At 12:45 a.m., a deputy checked the registration of a Blue Hyundai Sonata at the intersection of Lightfoot Mill Road and Bonny Oaks Drive in Chattanooga and found the car had been reported stolen.
The deputy tried to pull the vehicle over, and the driver fled. The officer then began a pursuit, according to the release.
The driver passed vehicles in oncoming traffic lanes, did not stop at stop signs or traffic signals and reached speeds of up to 110 mph in a 40 mph zone, the release said.
The two occupants of the car eventually pulled into a driveway in the 200 block of Elmwood Drive and fled the vehicle, which then rolled down the driveway and hit a patrol vehicle on the left front side of the brush guard, causing minor damage, the release states.
Officials say they located the pair soon after within a quarter mile of the vehicle with the help of a drone and the assistance of the Chattanooga Police Department.
