If you get into an Uber in Chattanooga or Nashville and find colorful LEDs lighting the car’s interior and a dashboard camera recording you, you may think for a moment you landed on the “Cash Cab” game show.
More likely, you’ve just been picked up by Jhordy Silva.
Silva, an Ooltewah resident, has been driving part-time with Uber and Lyft for more than five years. As of this month, he’s completed 5,985 rides on Uber and around 1,500 on Lyft.
On weekends, he takes his tricked-out Kia sedan — with a manual transmission, he’s proud to point out — to Nashville to cash in on higher ride prices and busier nightlife.
