SHRM hosts year-end event
Southeast Tennessee SHRM (a Chapter affiliate of the national Society for Human Resource Management) hosted its annual holiday event at The Chattanoogan Hotel on Dec. 13 with a year-end networking event, which included vendor partners, door prizes and music by classical Latin guitarist Sam Shanine. Instead of paying an entry fee, members donated unwrapped toys, which were delivered to the Chambliss Center for Children.
Chamber holiday open house
Partygoers attending the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce holiday open house on Dec. 14 found some truth to the old saying that "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain." They did just that -- only inside the CCC office on Broad Street, as heavy winter downpours continued throughout the night. Guests enjoyed an evening of food, music and networking. EPB was the main sponsor for the event.
