The Silverdale Baptist Academy girls' basketball team clinched a share of the regular-season championship in Division II-A District 2 with Friday night's 49-39 home win over Boyd Buchanan.
The Lady Seahawks (17-12, 9-1) did their damage in the second and third quarters, when they outscored the Lady Buccaneers 32-19, with Taylor Bledsoe and Kelsie Johnson each providing a seven-point quarter.
Johnson, a junior sharp-shooter, made four 3-pointers, while Boyd Buchanan (18-7, 9-1) was led by senior Dani Reeves, who scored eight of her game-high 15 points in the first quarter.

Jax Abernathy, Christian Heritage: The versatile junior guard poured in 34 points in just three quarters of action as the Lions (21-0, 5-0 Region 7-A Division II) cruised past Mount Zion-Carroll.
Kaleb Gallman, Heritage: The sophomore guard had a game-high 31 points as the Generals improved to 4-5 in Region 7-AAAA with a 62-61 overtime win against Southeast Whitfield.
Dylan Faulkner, Calhoun: Despite his 31 points, the Yellow Jackets (12-10, 5-3 Region 7-AAAAA) lost to league leader Hiram 87-82 in three overtimes.
Tucker Patterson, Polk County: The senior guard scored 22 points while adding eight rebounds to lead a 71-61 win at home over McMinn Central.
Matthew Sharpe, Central: The Purple Pounders (11-13, 8-3 District 6-AAA) received 21 points from Sharpe in a 62-60 home win over East Hamilton.
Juan Bullard, East Hamilton: The senior guard scored a game-high 24 points while going 6-of-7 at the foul line.
Nia Woodruff, East Hamilton: The Lady Hurricanes star nearly recorded a triple-double with 27 points, 12 rebounds and nine steals in a 79-18 win over Central.
Mattie Nuckolls, Murray County: She had 18 points, 10 rebounds and four blocked shots as the Lady Indians (17-4, 11-0 Region 7-AA) won their region's regular-season title and clinched a No. 1 seed for the league tournament.
Ryan Lopez, Boyd Buchanan: The senior guard scored 26 points with five 3-pointers and six assists in a 58-39 win for the Buccaneers (23-5, 9-1) at Silverdale Baptist.
Brynley Walraven, Sonoraville: She had 20 points as the Lady Phoenix downed Northwest Whitfield 56-44, tying the Lady Bruins for second place in Region 7-AAAA at 7-2. Sonoraville hosts Heritage, 8-1 in region play, in the league finale for both teams Tuesday.
