The University of Tennessee women's basketball team lost for the third time in the past four games, falling 91-90 at Mississippi State in double overtime Monday. It was the Lady Vols second Southeastern Conference loss, dropping them to 17-9 overall, 9-2 in the league.
The Lady Vols rallied from a four-point deficit in the closing seconds of the first overtime to force a second extra period, but despite taking a 3-point lead early in the second overtime, fell behind by six points and could not overcome that deficit. Tennessee will host Vanderbilt Sunday at 2 p.m.
