Despite a delay on day three for thunderstorms, organizers said the Riverbend Festival’s re-imagined 40th installment was positive and problem-free.
Mickey McCamish, executive director of organizer Friends of the Festival, said the entire festival was evacuated in about 15 minutes Sunday, and the final acts were still able to perform shortened sets.
McCamish said by phone there were no arrests inside the festival — for the second year in a row — and no one was asked to leave for underage drinking.
“The environment within the festival was so upbeat, so positive, and people just were being very courteous to one another,” McCamish said. “It was a very, very good experience that we had this year.”
Saturday’s one-day passes sold out, McCamish said, but beyond that, said attendance numbers weren’t available.
