American Cruise Lines' newest ship, American Serenade, docked this week at Ross's Landing in Chattanooga for the first of more than a dozen planned riverboat trips to Chattanooga this summer by the Guilford, Connecticut-based tour company.

The 180-passenger boat, which was christened in April, unloaded passengers earlier this week in Chattanooga and boarded new passengers for the next eight-day cruise along the Tennessee and Cumberland rivers from Chattanooga to Nashville. The river route includes stops in Decatur and Florence, Alabama, and Savannah and Clarksville, Tennessee.

Like sister ship American Symphony, the American Serenade showcases panoramic views throughout, including a four-story glass atrium in the center of the ship.
