Tennessee among cheapest states to own a car

The annual cost of owning a car topped $10,000 for the first time in 2022, rising to an average $10,729 last year, according to a study of transportation data by Automoblog.

Including the costs of buying, insuring, repairing and fueling the average car, Tennessee ranks among the least expensive states in which to own and operate a vehicle.

These are. the least expensive states in which to own a car:

1. West Virginia

2. Ohio

3. Idaho

4. Arizona

5. Missouri

6. Vermont

7. Indiana

8. Oklahoma

9. Tennessee

10. Kansas
