The Chattanooga Police Department made two arrests in recent, unrelated shootings, according to a Wednesday news release.
BRAINERD ROAD SHOOTING
James Dupree was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon in connection with a May 14 shooting on Brainerd Road.
Dupree, 37, and the victim were allegedly involved in a physical altercation before Dupree allegedly shot the victim in the chest.
The victim is at Erlanger hospital in critical condition, according to an affidavit.

Security footage from the area showed Dupree and the victims' brothers involved in a fight, according to an arrest affidavit.
According to the affidavit, Dupree is seen on the video pulling a gun from his pocket and attempts "to hit one of the males in the head with his firearm."
Dupree then turned the firearm at the victim, according to the affidavit.
"The victim is observed walking over and picking up an object. The victim throws the object at the suspect, and the suspect then shot the victim once in the chest before fleeing the scene," the affidavit said.
Dupree is being held on $100,000 bond at the Silverdale Detention Center and is scheduled to appear before Hamilton County General Sessions Court Judge Lila Statom on Tuesday.
MAIN STREET SHOOTING
Antione Hamilton was arrested and charged with aggravated assault in connection with a May 12 shooting in the 700 block of West Main Street, according to the release.
On May 12, Chattanooga police responded to a call of a person shot at Parkridge Medical Center. The victim said Hamilton had allegedly shot him in the leg, according to an arrest affidavit.

Security footage from the area showed the victim talking to a woman when Hamilton approached them, according to the affidavit. They stepped out of the camera frame, and microphones picked up the sound of a gunshot.
"The victim then ran from the area, and the suspect stepped back into camera view with what appeared to be a firearm in his hand," the affidavit said
The suspect was seen getting into a Ford Explorer Sport Track and leaving the scene, according to the affidavit.
Detectives determined the Ford Explorer was registered to Hamilton, according to the affidavit.
Hamilton, 44, is being held at the Silverdale Detention Center on a $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear before Statom on Tuesday.
