Although it's only the second day of the Spring Fling, state championships and survival are both already on the line for several Chattanooga-area teams in Murfreesboro.
In tennis, Baylor's girls, as well as Arts & Sciences and McCallie boys will all play for state titles in their respective classifications, while all three area baseball teams — McCallie, Silverdale Baptist and Walker Valley must win to remain alive in the tournament after losing their opening games on Tuesday.
A pair of Division II soccer teams — Baylor and Boyd Buchanan — will look to advance past today's semifinal round and all six local softball teams — East Hamilton and Soddy-Daisy in Class 3A, as well as Baylor, Chattanooga Christian, GPS and Silverdale Baptist in D-II will be on the field throughout the day.
The Division II track & field championships will also be decided.
