Day three of the Spring Fling will feature three Chattanooga teams playing for state championships, while others still have work to do to reach that point.

In softball Baylor earned its way back into the Division II-AA championship game, where the Lady Red Raiders are trying to extend their state record for consecutive titles to eight when they take the field Thursday evening. Silverdale Baptist, which missed out on the state tournament last year, survived two close calls on Wednesday to reach the D-II A title game. Only one public school remains and East Hamilton must win two games on Thursday to avoid being sent home before reaching its classification's title game.

Boyd Buchanan's soccer team, which finished runners-up last season, is back in the D-II A championship game, which kicks off Thursday evening.

Tennis has reached the singles and doubles portion, where around two dozen local players will compete in Thursday's quarterfinal round. The final day of track & field — Class AAA competitors — will begin at 10 a.m. And continue through the evening.
