Chattanooga Red Wolves fall at Charlotte

A week after putting together one of their best offensive performances of the season, the Chattanooga Red Wolves' struggles returned on that end in a 3-0 loss to the Charlotte Independence at American Legion Memorial Stadium in North Carolina.

Charlotte (6-3-1), with 19 points, is tied with North Carolina FC (6-3-1) for first place in the USL League One standings.

The Red Wolves (2-5-2), shut out for the sixth time, are stuck at eight points and now sit 10th in the 12-team league. They visited Charlotte coming off a 3-3 draw at home with Union Omaha.

Chattanooga returns to competition at 7 p.m. next Saturday against the Richmond Kickers (3-2-5) in Virginia.
