CALHOUN, Ga. — With Emaree Winston you get more than meets the eye.

Way more.

On the surface, the 6-foot-2, 235-pound Calhoun High School senior certainly looks the part of one of the Greater Chattanooga area’s top college recruits. He is, in fact, No. 3 on the Times Free Press’ Dynamite Dozen after earning a top-400 national ranking by 247Sports.com following a junior season in which he had 59 receptions for 956 yards and 13 touchdowns.

The nation’s No. 8-ranked tight end is also committed to the University of Texas after having 39 scholarship offers.

The SEC’s Longhorns and head coach Steve Sarkisian know what they are getting on the field. They better, Calhoun coach Clay Stephenson said, be ready for what be brings off it.
