Chattanooga man arrested in connection with death of girlfriend

Chattanooga police arrested a man Tuesday in connection with the death his girlfriend inside a Crestway Drive residence, according to a news release.

Police charged Demarcus Napier, 29, with criminal homicide, the release said.

The remains of Napier’s girlfriend, Brooke Killings, were found Wednesday off Interstate 75 in Catoosa County, according to the release.

A witness contacted police Monday about a possible missing person in the 300 block of Crestway Drive, the release said. The witness said Killings, 33, was last seen at Diamond Billiards on Saturday and that Napier said he killed her, according to the release.

Police obtained a video displaying Killings and Napier leaving Diamond Billiards together in a Volkswagen Atlas and tracked Killings’ phone data, which showed the device went from the bar to the Crestway Drive residence, the release said.

Killings’ family said Napier had a history of domestic violence against Killings, according to the release.

After obtaining a search warrant for the Crestway Drive residence, police found blood in multiple areas, the release said.

The crime scene indicated that Killings received a wound she would not have been able to survive and then her body was moved posthumously by Napier to another location, where the remains were later found by police, according to the release.
