We greet you this morning, wherever and however you are, with joy and gladness. This is a day, culinarily speaking, of groaning boards – but also sometimes a day of groaning spirits – of plenty and of lack. All these are deeply felt, and you are busy in the midst of them and the thought of them. We have only one request today. Since it’s Christmas, I’ll point you back to that request next week. (Then again, next Wednesday will be New Year’s Day.)
Pat Crutchfield received some tasty candy and hopes you can identify it. “It has small marshmallows, Crispix cereal and peanut butter. I don’t know if it has other ingredients, but it is very good.” Please, a recipe.
PIMIENTO CHEESES
We’ll continue with the letter from Ms. Crutchfield, responding to the request for homemade old-fashioned pimiento cheese. “I don’t have a recipe,” she explained, “but this is how I make it.”
