Two Hamilton County attorneys cannot practice law while on disability inactive status

Two Hamilton County attorneys were placed on disability inactive status and cannot practice law indefinitely.

Jeffrey D. Boehm and Carol Anne Mutter may return to their respective practices after reinstatement by the Tennessee Supreme Court, the Board of Professional Responsibility of the Tennessee Supreme Court announced Friday.

It was determined that both Boehm and Mutter are disabled or incapacitated from practicing. They must show the disability in question has been removed to be reinstated, the statement said.

Boehm attended law school at the University of Tennessee, according to the board's website. He has been licensed in Tennessee since 1972.

Mutter attended Georgetown Law and has been licensed in Tennessee since 1994.
