Hamilton County schools will open Monday with a two-hour delay, according to a news release.
Icy conditions continued throughout the region on Sunday.
“HCS crews have worked through the weekend to prepare school sites in the northern and mountainous parts of the county,” the release said. “However, some schools will require the use of modified bus routes to safely transport students.”
Cleveland City Schools will operate on a regular schedule, according to a news release.
The Hamilton County Highway Department advised caution on secondary roads in the area.
“Some secondary roads in Hamilton County continue to be covered with frozen ice and snow due to extremely cold temperatures and areas of continuous shade,” a news release said.
