We must stand firm in our divine purpose
America is uniquely vulnerable to falling into the train of an autocratic bigot. Bettina Krause makes that pointedly clear in her May/June Liberty editorial, “A Messiah Problem.” Please give it close attention.
Is our country placed for a divine purpose? The culture of American exceptionalism, its inspired purpose as a beacon of liberty, has long been a part of our political fabric, justifiable or not.
Going forward, we can expect our political division and inflamed passions to birth a time of unprecedented trial. A vision of a peaceful, prosperous, liberal social scene is surely headed for the rocks. (Luke 21:26-28)
The sorely needed presence of a steady hand on the tiller seems nowhere to be seen. The success of the divine purpose is not in doubt; not at all. It remains for us to grasp the outlines which are available, as they emerge, and to stand firm, exercising Christian charity despite the storm, without succumbing to fear or rancorous violence, while we need to be here.

Moms for Liberty deserves our ‘hate’
Moms for Liberty belongs on the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Hate Map with the Proud Boys and KKK.
Coming from Sarasota, Florida, where its founder is on the school board, we’ve seen the damage this group causes, the duplicity of its message, and the Sarasota Herald Tribune reports of the legal/morality issues of its founder.

$10 to watch our granddaughter play
Interesting story about Rossville softball. My wife and I have attended several softball tournaments there, this year and last. We’re senior citizens (65 and 74), and we enjoy watching our granddaughter play softball. However, every time we go to a game there in Rossville, we are charged $10 each. No senior citizen discount. $10 each for everyone. No telling how many people attend these weekend tournaments, but all parking lots are full. 500 people or more for sure. We only watch one game, then go home.
Other venues we go to for tournaments have a discount for seniors, if they charge anything at all. Most places have no charge. Much better facilities than Rossville’s run-down fields, too. Something ain’t right!
