A Hamilton Place building near the mall that holds a well-known restaurant may be ready to serve up a change of ownership.

The 9,100-square-foot building holds the Red Lobster restaurant, where there is a long-term lease on the property at 2200 Bams Dr., according to commercial real estate broker Glen Kunofsky of NNN Pro Group.

The asking price is $7.67 million for the structure that sits on a nearly two-acre lot.

Bams Drive is located close to Hamilton Place mall, which is the No. 1 retail center in the Chattanooga area. The building is situated near a number of other retail and commercials structures, including close proximity to a couple of shopping centers holding major tenants.

New retailers in the Hamilton Place area such as Nordstrom Rack and J. Crew Factory helped spur traffic during the Christmas season last year, as well as added stores at the mall, according to mall owner CBL Properties.
