A Soddy-Daisy police officer texted a Whitwell woman, “I’ve never met anyone that has thoughts like me” as she disclosed her sexual fantasies involving young people, a phone extraction report shows.
Former Soddy-Daisy Officers Jake Elrod and Eric Jenkins raised accusations accusations against Sgt. Jeremy Wright while testifying during April and May court hearings in Hamilton County.
Wright was accused by members of the public of texting a consenting woman about sexual fantasies involving children and, in a separate incident, showing a partially nude photo of himself to a woman and her underage cousin at a local Planet Fitness, according to Elrod and Jenkins.
“They were saying things about Jeremy Wright, that he was a pedophile,” Elrod testified at the time. “It was very concerning.”
Through an open records request, the Chattanooga Times Free Press obtained a copy of Wright’s text messages with a woman and two reports about criminal investigations into his conduct from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
