A brief chase Thursday resulted in the arrest of a man wanted on a charge of attempted first-degree murder.
Detectives with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Warrants Unit initially spotted Edward Anthony White operating a white sedan on Reggie White Boulevard and attempted a traffic stop, according to a news release.
When White attempted to flee, a chase ensued, the release said.
Detectives used a a precision immobilization technique maneuver to end the chase in the 100 block of 38th Street, the release said. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, that technique involves forcing a fleeing vehicle to abruptly turn 180 degrees, causing the vehicle to stall and stop.
