So the commissioner voted for a large bond issuance and now says he doesn’t understand/like it. Wouldn’t you agree that’s not too Sharpe?
My neighborhood recently installed two community glass recycling bins. Opening them proves two things: We like to recycle glass, and we need AA meetings.
I have a gender-neutral bathroom at my house. Don’t you?
Should the Chattanooga VW plant close due to high labor costs, be sure to thank your friendly neighborhood labor union for their contribution to the cause.
Hat Trick: I support Greg Martin. He proves an ironic point. When it comes to red hats, Tennessee women do have the right to choose.
Does the red hat of Rep. Greg Martin, R-Hixson, that says “Pretty Girls Vote Republican” mean that you are ugly if you vote Democratic?
Want to know what JD Vance has said about Trump? Google last week’s “Doonesbury.” The TFP refused to print it.
I support the TFP decision to not print “Doonesbury” last week. I read it online. While I am a confirmed never (again) Trumper, the cartoon’s choices of language do not advance the sane conversations we need.
Profanity and vulgarity have no place in the cartoon pages. Thank you for not printing “Doonesbury” last Sunday.
Oh good. The TFP saved us from vulgar language in the Sunday “Doonesbury” strip. Of course, we still have Donald Trump’s daily vulgarities without editing.
I believe that the TFP decision to pull “Doonesbury” last Sunday was right, not necessarily for the language (though it was “out there”), but because it is too inflammatory and divisive.
Censoring last Sunday’s “Doonesbury” comic strip? The “vulgar language” was JD Vance’s actual quotes describing Trump.
Mayor Tim Kelly endorsing a candidate for president is why officials in municipal government should be nonpartisan. It’s unbecoming to endorse someone when you represent all people.
Bless their hearts. Chattanooga Tourism Company, lightweight of nonprofits, wants local input on future tourism. OK — first: Collapse CTC into Chamber of Commerce.
Sad Chattanooga welcome mat: Tampa Street-River Street intersection is front door to Coolidge Park. No pavement. Just rock, gravel and potholes. Embarrassing tourism gateway.
East Lake Park is a beautiful place to go, but it’s obvious that “nothing” is being done to maintain its beauty (litter and dirty).
To those of you who walk dogs, please carry the necessary bags/gloves to clean up after them. Those of us who do not own pets do not enjoy cleaning up your dogs’ messes.
The “No Hand Held Device Law” should also apply to the big juicy cheeseburger you are eating.
What kind of a country do we live in where a father gives a teenage son a weapon of war and teaches him to use it? God help us.
One would “think” that when the number-one reason for children dying in America is being shot and killed that Americans would demand real action.
Our children should have the rights of “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” instead of having to go to school and face violence from weapons of war.
No young student wants to die for your Second Amendment right. Not one.
Ten Commandments on the the wall didn’t prevent the killings at the school in Winder, Georgia.
As a moderate Democrat, I vote for the person … sometimes a Republican. Hats off to Liz Cheney and Dick for making that same hard decision.
