Restaurant Scene: New eatery coming to the old location of St. John’s

Hendo’s Creole Cuisine is opening in the old location of St. John’s at 1278 Market St.

I spoke on the phone with the chef, who goes by Chef Griff, and he told me what’s on the menu.

Originally from New Orleans, Griff said he is a chef with over 20 years of experience, and he is partnering with former Los Angeles Rams running back Darrell Henderson to open the restaurant.

“We’re looking to bring something new to Chattanooga, something different that people are wanting to have in terms of authentic New Orleans cuisine,” he said. “We have an excellent curated menu.”
