Thank you for contributing to the Weekend Dialogue. It is my hope this will be an ongoing conversation with readers, so please keep the comments and questions about issues, editorials and commentary coming.

The comments from this week’s contributors have been edited for length and clarity.

Let’s talk about President Trump. Sure, some of you hate him. I, in fact, campaigned for Nikki Haley during the Republican primary. That said, I am impressed he is working to say “no” to those who have abused our governmental systems.

I celebrate that DEI is DIEing. This is racism, pure and simple, against non-Blacks and sexism, pure and simple, against men. … Trump replaced DEI with MEI, merit, effort, and integrity/innovation, for which I’m glad.

I, too, preferred Nikki Haley during the Republican primary and, to be fully transparent, wrote her name in on my general election ballot (the first time I did not vote for the Republican presidential candidate).
