Brian Joyce, a former morning talk show personality and co-owner of the now-closed Blue Light bar, was arrested and faces a harassment charge.
The Chattanooga Police Department arrested Joyce, 48, on Wednesday in connection with an incident that occurred on Monday, according to an affidavit.
Joyce allegedly harassed a woman after she broke up with him around a year ago, an affidavit said. Police advised the woman to get an order of protection after he continued to call, text and email her.
The woman said she had recently stayed at the Dwell Hotel, and while she was still there, she received an email from Joyce at about 2:40 p.m. that said, “Why were you at the Dwell last night,” the affidavit said. Police said that by about 4:40 p.m., Joyce sent a follow-up email asking the victim, “Are you going to answer the question?”
Joyce was not immediately available for comment via a phone call or text.
Joyce was released on his own recognizance, court records said. His next court date is Sept. 18 in General Sessions Court Judge Tori Smith’s courtroom.
