Recruiting rankings do not always equate to the value a player has for his high school football team.

There is a level of productivity that can override how a prep player’s potential is viewed by college recruiters. There is also a “chip on the shoulder” aspect for athletes who are not listed by the national recruiting services, whether because of a perceived lack of size, speed or strength, or other reasons.

Despite a history of influencing the on-field success of their team, that feeling of still having something to prove remains motivation for such players.

So while the Chattanooga-area seniors who make up this list don’t have the same impressive list of college offers from power conferences as the prospects in the Times Free Press Dynamite Dozen revealed earlier this month, that doesn’t mean they have any less impact on their high school team.

In fact, for several teams, these players will play such a prominent role in reaching the lofty expectations they have for this season, the TFP staff had to shine a spotlight on them. Get to know our Dynamic Dozen, and you will agree they are among the area’s most impactful senior players.
