I was amused by the holiday gift guide in the Life section of the Sunday (12/7/25) paper.

One gift mentioned was a coffee table book by Dolly Parton. The third and final installment in her photographic trilogy of big ol’ books.

I do not believe Dolly will be remembered for her big ol’ books. $55.00.

Bad Bunny (why?) has an album of love to his home country of Puerto Rico. You can also get a T-shirt with a straw hat on it. It is discounted for the holidays. $40.00.

In my opinion, the folks that buy these things do not read newspapers.

For myself, I have never had a coffee table book. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

When I want to hear music, I just say, “Alexa, play 50’s rock and roll music.” Fats Domino sings “Blueberry Hill,” Little Richard sings “Lucille,” and many more. I am happy.
