The 2024-25 season is in the final week for GHSA wrestling, with three days of competition in the state traditional tournament about to take place at the Macon Centreplex.
The action begins Thursday for boys in Classes A through AAAA, while the top two classifications and girls will take the mat a day later. Medal matches for the first group are Friday, while the others will wrap up Saturday.
Northwest Georgia will be well represented at the event, as usual. That includes dozens of athletes from the Times Free Press coverage area, some of them as reigning individual state champions and many more as area and/or sectional champions after winning those titles in recent weeks.
