Government workers deserve our thanks and more letters to the editors

Government workers deserve our thanks

“Government employees, with their commitment to excellence … contribute significantly to the leadership of the United States in the world. These dedicated men and women are a valuable national resource, serving in the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches … dealing with nearly every aspect of national life. Government employees provide such a broad range of services that few citizens remain unaffected by their work. They defend our Nation, enforce the laws, help protect the environment … .”

These words are from a proclamation signed in 1988 by President Ronald Reagan and correctly acknowledge the critical role played by agency workers in the federal government. The demonization and demeaning of these public servants by this administration and Elon Musk is unconscionable, ill-informed and wrong.

USAID, State Department, Department of Education and all other federal agencies are made up of loyal, patriotic and dedicated staff who work in the best interests of their country. They are most definitely not “criminals” or “uncooperative.” They deserve our thanks and respect for serving us and supporting our country and citizens at home and abroad.

All this is the man we picked in November

Whom did we elect last November? We elected a man:

1) Deporting immigrants whose families are left here;

2) Abandoning Ukraine;

3) Releasing 1,500 convicted insurrectionists, calling them innocent;

4) Threatening to invade Panama, Greenland and Canada;

5) Imposing tariffs that will raise prices on many things we buy;

6) Failing to keep his promises to lower prices, such as on eggs;

7) Firing VA employees, which adversely affects the health of veterans.

We elected Donald J. Trump, who won’t stop until he has finished paying us back for not electing him in 2020.

TFP, give facts, not propaganda

In the opening line of Monday’s TFP front page New York Times News Service report (“Musk seeks access to IRS system”), it states something about the “… so-called Department of Government Efficiency.” Actually, it’s “so-called” because it IS the Department of Government Efficiency.

Maybe if your so-called editors stop trying to emulate Joseph Goebbels (Minister of Propaganda for the Third Reich), then maybe your so-called newspaper would stop dying a slow death.

Wyoming, the new ‘Promised Land’?

President Trump’s statement that the U.S. should seize control of Gaza, throw out its entire population and make it into a resort has not been properly reviewed by an Islamic country. He has asked for someone to make an alternative proposal; therefore, I would like to make my own modest proposal:

Move all Jewish inhabitants out of Israel and transport them to the state of Wyoming. The Jewish population of the world is about .2% of the world’s population whereas Muslims make up about 25%. Trump would be praised by an additional 1.9 billion people (which he lives for).

Wyoming is the least populated state, with less than 1 million people. It needs people. Trump likes to change names — he could change the name of Wyoming to the “Promised Land.”

It’s win-win. The Jews would no longer be threatened by Muslims, who would no longer be radicalized by their leaders. U.S. taxpayers would not have to pay billions to protect Israel.

The only losers would the military industrial complex.
