The lone challenger running against incumbent Chattanooga Mayor Tim Kelly, in the ongoing municipal elections, is Chris Long, a candidate who has promised to “make Chattanooga great again.”

Here’s a look at Long’s public record:

Despite Long’s claims to the contrary, Southern Adventist University has confirmed that while the mayoral candidate did attend the university, he never finished his undergraduate schooling there. He certainly did not earn a master’s in engineering management or a doctorate in building architecture. In fact, Southern Adventist does not offer graduate degrees in those fields.

In 1997, a Hamilton County judge issued a warrant for Long’s arrest on a stalking charge, which was later dismissed. To our knowledge, Long has not publicly commented on this.
