In Trump’s eyes, it’s Russia first
Having just watched the Trump/Vance meeting with the president of Ukraine, I am ashamed and embarrassed by our president and vice president. The lies and lack of respect displayed by both Trump and Vance were beyond the pale. All Americans must now realize that the current administration is owned by Putin.
The EU, Canada and Australia will fill the void that Trump is creating; most people I know don’t realize that EU’s GDP is estimated at around $18.6 trillion, compared to Russia’s estimated $2.02 trillion. That doesn’t include Canada at $2.5 trillion GDP and Australia’s $1.9 trillion GDP. The USA GDP is $26.9 trillion.
Trump is making the USA subservient to Russia, even though the Russian economy is 10% of the USA’s. It’s Russia first, not America first.

Who should fear democracy?
No doubt, TFP will not publish this letter, but with the deplorable display of biased journalism per the Chattanooga Times editorial published on Feb. 16 (“We are a People Consumed by Fear”), there must be a kernel of journalistic integrity somewhere.
About the editorial: Given the overwhelming majority of Americans who strongly support the overdue dismantling of the federal bureaucracy, it is not as the Times obediently promotes American citizens who should fear. Rather, it is the duly elected who sponsored and endorsed decades of bureaucratic fiscal and regulatory abuse. Rather, it is the sycophantic media who shielded disclosure of incompetence and rampant government corruption. Rather, it is the unelected, entrenched bureaucracy that has, over decades, knowingly misappropriated trillions of taxpayer dollars. Rather, it is the disingenuous activist judges who afforded protection by betraying the rule of law. Rather, it is those who now resolutely seek to block investigation and audit — not for differing ideologies but for fear of the consequences that comprehensive disclosure will expose.
Not surprisingly, lacking facts and footing, socialist sycophants once again resort to the fearmongering of selective half-truths, disinformation and even the archaic rhetoric of FDR whose socialistic policies spawned the unelected federal bureaucracy and lengthened the Great Depression.
With their votes, the American people have re-affirmed their sole ownership of our government. In a final reckoning, it is not “we the people” who should be fearful.

Trump, Vance, Rubio deserve our derision
I just watched the berating of Ukraine President Zelenskyy by President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance. A complete embarrassment by two bullies against a man who has valiantly defended his country against the barbaric Russians. The Trump administration is extorting Ukraine’s rare minerals in repayment of the support the United States has given to stop Putin.
If Trump were a “strong leader,” he would send more military aid to Ukraine, tell Putin that if he doesn’t withdraw from Ukraine, he will be introduced to more attacks inside Russia. But Trump isn’t strong. He is the classic coward/bully.
Sitting at today’s meeting was Secretary of State Marco Rubio. How proud his parents must be of their son kowtowing to the country that backed Fidel Castro, who turned Cuba into a communist hellhole that they escaped penniless, never to return.
Never has the United States demanded reparations from a country invaded by our enemy. Never has the United States sided with a country whose leader is branded a “war criminal.” Never has the United States been led by a Mafioso.
