In Chattanooga, two trailblazing influencers — Hope Maum and Kelli Allison — are proving that nature and Instagram can coexist beautifully. With muddy boots, fully charged phones and snap-ready cameras, they’re bringing scenic overlooks, quiet trail moments, fun swim spots and outdoorsy wisdom to followers who crave both connection and adventure.
Chattanooga offers its extensive hiking trails, waterscapes and open-air activities not only to locals, but to travelers passing through. While sites like Trip Advisor are commonly used, social media provides a more vivid and personal window into the Scenic City.
Hope Maum, a social media influencer and entrepreneur, has been a part of Chattanooga’s nature scene her whole life. As a child, her parents often took her on hikes — and that early love for the outdoors has only deepened with time.
“When I got to college, I was taking my friends hiking every week,” Maum says. “We would go all over the place, chasing waterfalls and views, and they would always tell me that I needed to be a tour guide.”
A few years later, Experience Chattanooga, Maum and her husband’s hiking tour company, was born. It’s been six years now, and the pair has been guiding since. But it was prior to the company kick start, in Maum’s early college days, when her social media really took off.
