Concerned about school partnership

This is in response to Turning Point USA, coming to a high school near you. When I took school law at UTC, the textbook stated that it is legally permissible to have groups like Turning Point USA in our schools; however, if an anti-religion group, for example, wants to also meet in our schools it is against the law to permit one but not the other. Allowing Turning Point USA in our schools is most likely a lawsuit waiting to happen. Wise officials would say “no” to any group that is not of an academic nature. Wise parents would agree.

In favor of military draft, term limits

I recommend that the USA reinstate the military draft for both men and women. Only men should participate in combat, and women should only participate in support positions for the combat men. Men are stronger than women, plus men will most of the time have a difficult ability to keep their mind on their military responsibility with a woman at their side or nearby. I was drafted in June 1957 and discharged as a sergeant in September 1963.

I strongly support term limits for congresspersons. The only time I failed to vote after becoming able was a local election when I lived in Louisiana. My employer asked me to go on a mission in Colorado on Election Day, which I did. In the first federal election I was eligible to vote, I voted for Gen. Dwight Eisenhower. I do not plan to vote for anyone who has already served two terms in the Senate or three terms in the House. It appears that most politicians are more interested in accumulating wealth than doing what is best for our country. I don’t believe that was the original plan of the founders.
