Boyd Buchanan sophomore Keke Jordan has had to become unique with her home run celebrations.

With 11 homers for the 24-3 Lady Buccaneers, she’s had plenty of practice.

“I work every day at my craft,” said Jordan, who attended an invite-only softball camp at the University of Oregon last weekend. “I do a lot of drills off the tee and work at home just to try and stay consistent. You have to be consistent at the plate.

“I work all the time on focusing to stay through the ball. I never focus on home runs. I just want to help my team to the best of my ability. We are all a lot more confident this year and have some big goals we are working toward.”

Boyd Buchanan coach Sarah Warren-Bowles isn’t surprised at Jordan’s outburst after watching her player consistently train hard.
