All gave some?
If Volkswagen and the United Auto Workers reached an agreement on a contract, and VW improved its “last, best and final” offer and the union says it didn’t get everything it wanted, that’s how negotiations are supposed to work, right?
Workers still must approve the contract, and the automobile company is saying very little, so it’s difficult to analyze whether one side did better than the other in the deal, or if, in the end, all are satisfied.

More important than the contract, but not unrelated, is the future of the company that several years ago, in so many words, said it was betting its future on electric vehicles. Since then, the U.S. has soured on electric vehicles — not the potential of them, but their practicality until infrastructure is available across the country for their more frequent use.
