Attorneys for former Chattanooga accountant Jonathan Frost’s parents said in a new court filing that they do not anticipate being able to reach a settlement for an alleged fraudulent transfer claim, according to court records.

Substantive efforts toward a settlement and an exchange of offers have not been fruitful, according to a status update on behalf of Steven and Lisa Frost in federal court. The defense said it remains open to exploring a pretrial resolution.

“At this time,” the filing said, “counsel believes that mediation would not be productive in this matter.”

The court ordered both sides to file a joint update by Tuesday, but only the defense filed its perspective.
