Hannah Smith was seemingly born to wear the navy blue and old gold.
At a young age, Smith stood behind the “Power C” on the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga softball field as she posed for a picture after playing in a select tournament. Years later, she would go on to recreate that same photo as Smith committed to the Lady Mocs softball program in October of 2024.
Now, the end to Smith’s illustrious prep career could not have been played out in a sweeter location.
Her future collegiate home provided a grand finish to her time at Chattanooga Christian, as Smith and the Lady Chargers secured a historic second straight TSSAA state title on May 23 at Frost Stadium with a 4-1 win over Baylor in the Division II-AA state championship final. That game was moved back to the Scenic City due to inclement weather in Murfreesboro.

On Tuesday, Smith will put on her CCS softball jersey for the final time as she competes in the 28th annual Tennessee-Georgia All-Star Softball Classic, a double-header that begins at 6 p.m. at Frost Stadium.
