More than 1,300 Hamilton County students received mental health services at school from outside providers during this past academic year.
“In the fall of 2025, parents in Hamilton County Schools asked for more transparency surrounding school-based mental health care,” Centerstone Regional Vice President Dan Mansfield told reporters Wednesday. “We are looking to answer that call for information.”
In November, the Hamilton County Board of Education approved agreements with five mental health providers to offer school-based services with parental consent.
The approved vendors included Centerstone Community Mental Health Center, a Nashville-based mental health care provider; ELU: Counseling, Consulting and Coaching, a Chattanooga-based Christian counseling service; the Helen Ross McNabb Center, a Knoxville-based behavioral health agency; PsychPlus, a Houston-based mental health care provider; and Thrive Therapies Group, a Nashville-based organization that specializes in serving students with disabilities.
