The group operating Finley Stadium has made the largest investments in its history back into upgrades for Chattanooga’s largest sports venue ahead of its 30th birthday next year.

The board of the Stadium Corp., a nonprofit that operates the stadium and neighboring venues through an agreement with the city and Hamilton County, approved its budget for the upcoming year at an annual meeting Tuesday.

The corporation has invested around $3.5 million in the campus since the organization’s 2023 fiscal year, according to a presentation at the meeting. The campus includes First Horizon Pavilion and several parking lots.

The investment is the most the corporation has put back into the facility in upgrades since it opened in 1997, Brian Wright, executive director of the Stadium Corp., said in an interview after the meeting.
