SAN FRANCISCO — Mauricio Dubón had two hits and scored twice against his former team, Ozzie Albies drove in a pair of runs, and the Atlanta Braves beat the San Francisco Giants 3-1 on Friday night at Oracle Park to stop a four-game skid.

Matt Olson added two hits for Atlanta, while Dominic Smith — another former San Francisco player — also drove in a run to help the Braves win for just the second time in their past 10 games against the Giants.

Rafael Devers had an RBI double and rookie catcher Drew Cavanaugh singled in his MLB debut for San Francisco (33-48), which lost five of it past seven games. The Giants are fourth in the National League West Division, 18 1/2 games behind the first-place Los Angeles Dodgers, the two-time reigning World Series champions.

The Braves’ 49-31 record is among the best in the majors right now, but they entered Friday having lost seven of their previous nine games and 10 of 13. Friday’s victory allowed them to keep their lead in the NL East at four games over the second-place Philadelphia Phillies, who have won four straight and six of their past seven.

Atlanta reliever Dylan Lee (4-0) retired five batters and closer Raisel Iglesias worked a 1-2-3 ninth to remain perfect in 16 save chances this season and 34 consecutive in a row dating to 2025, the longest active streak in the majors.

Reynaldo López allowed one run and four hits in three innings during his return to the starting rotation after two months in the bullpen.

San Francisco staring pitcher Trevor McDonald (2-6) allowed three runs and seven hits in 5 1/3 innings.

After the Giants went ahead in the first on the double by Devers, Smith tied the score with an RBI single in the second and Albies hit a go-ahead single in the third. Albies added a sacrifice fly in the fifth.

San Francisco went 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position, leaving the bases loaded in the fifth and stranding two runners in scoring position in the seventh and one in the eighth.

The three-game series continues with a second contest Saturday, when the scheduled starting pitchers are right-handers Logan Webb (4-5, 3.35 ERA) for the Giants and Bryce Elder (5-5, 3.71) for the Braves.
