The impact of Kimora Fields on the Bradley Central girls’ basketball program has been impossible to miss, and her talent has been well advertised.

However, it’s a fellow senior who has been one of the X-factors in an undefeated season for the Bearettes, who are three wins away from the program’s fourth consecutive Class 4A championship and 10th TSSAA state title overall.

The sweet stroke of guard Addie Geren has been showcased this season, when the Tennessee Wesleyan signee has shot 48.1% (88-of-183) from behind the arc while averaging 2.8 3-point makes per game for the Bearettes, who are ranked as the nation’s No. 21 team by MaxPreps.com.

“Addie has always been an exceptional shooter,” Bradley Central coach Jason Reuter said. “She has just stepped up and shined even more in a bigger role this season that we needed her to fill. She is a very cerebral player and puts this team in a lot of good spots, whether it’s her shooting or passing.”

While Geren has drilled at least three 3s in 17 of her 32 starts, which included a season-high seven against Maryville Christian, her ball distribution has been exceptional as well. Geren has a 4.6 assist-to-turnover ratio (148 assists, 32 turnovers), and she has been able to consistently feed Fields in the paint, especially of late, with 25 assists over Bradley Central’s past three wins.
