In early May of each year, the Better Business Bureau serving Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia hosts an annual Torch Awards for Ethics Luncheon. The event shines a spotlight on organizations in our community that make honesty and integrity a foundation of their operation. We hosted this year’s event on May 6, and it was truly a celebration of trust.

We announced four BBB Torch Award for Ethics winners, recognized nine finalists and awarded Student of Integrity Scholarships to eleven local students. EPB and Lawson Electric served as the event’s platinum sponsors.

BBB’s Torch Awards for Ethics were established locally in 1989 and were created to promote the importance of ethical business practices and willingness and efforts made by outstanding businesses to ensure that the local marketplace remains fair and honorable for all residents and fellow businesses.
