A new flexible warehouse space for lease will be the final piece in a longtime expansion of a business park at the corner of Shallowford Road and Highway 153.

Hudson Companies, the local developer that has owned the Shallowford Business Park West since 1993, will soon open a 25,000-square-foot combined warehouse and office space at the back of the park.

The facility at 5955 Shallowford Road will be complete in late May or early June, said Chuck Hudson, vice president at Hudson Companies. The new space will bring the total size of the business park to 300,000 square feet, a goal the company initially announced in 1997.

The flexible warehouse is ideal for companies that have large inventories and need a loading dock and drive-in door, Hudson said. The warehouse includes 24-foot ceilings, two offices, a conference room, three bathrooms and a break room.
