For nearly two decades, Tennesseans have made one thing clear at the ballot box: They want conservative leadership grounded in faith, freedom, fiscal responsibility and common sense.

Under Republican leadership, Tennessee has become one of the most successful states in the nation. We’ve cut taxes, welcomed new businesses, strengthened our economy and preserved the values that make this state exceptional. Families and businesses continue to thrive here and move here because the Tennessee formula just works.

Meanwhile, Democrats in the Tennessee General Assembly have grown increasingly radical, ineffective and disconnected from the people they claim to represent. Their own members have admitted their focus is not governing, but obstructing Republicans through delay, disruption and political theater.

Their backward priorities were on full display during the recent special session on redistricting.

The despicable antics among House and Senate Democrats, from members of leadership to those who have never passed a bill, should anger all Tennesseans.
