The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga will host Wofford Saturday in the Mocs’ first game of the Southern Conference season.

The Terriers (2-1) are coming off a 37-15 loss against Football Bowl Subdivision Kent State, while the Mocs’ early-season struggles continued with a 22-16 loss at Eastern Kentucky.

Kickoff is at 6 at Finley Stadium.

Here are five things to know about the Mocs’ next opponent:

1. Both teams have played a Southern Conference game, but only one counted. Wofford opened its season by beating The Citadel 42-14 on Aug. 29, which means the Terriers arrive at Finley Stadium 1-0 in the Southern Conference while the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is still 0-0. UTC fell 24-9 against Tennessee Tech in a game that was considered non-conference. The Mocs can’t fall behind in the league race Saturday, but they can start a game behind Wofford in it.
