An Alabama man who has been missing since Oct. 24 was found dead Tuesday in a wooded area in the Fabius Coal Mines, according to the Jackson County sheriff’s office.
Michael Harden, 25, from Scottsboro, Ala., was last seen in the Fabius Coal Mines in Flat Rock, Ala., on Oct. 23. After an extensive search, authorities found Harden’s body in a wooded area of the former mines.
The preliminary reported stated that Harden probably died from drowning, but the final report is pending the results of a toxicology report.
