James Michael ForanA Blountville, Tenn., man previously convicted of sexual battery faces new charges in southwest Virginia, where he allegedly penetrated a dog with a mixer attachment - inflicting injuries that required surgery - and left behind DNA evidence.
James Michael Foran, 47, is charged with crimes against nature by the Washington County, Va., Sheriff's Office. According to a news release from the department, Foran was arrested on Wednesday and booked into the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Abingdon.
The Tennessee Sex Offender Registry lists Foran's primary address as 197 Harr Trail Road, Blountville, with a secondary address of 282 Broyles Lane, Bristol, Tenn. In May 1997 he was convicted of criminal attempt to commit aggravated sexual battery.
