Good morning, Chattanooga!
I hope you had a great and filling Thanksgiving Day.
Thursday was the official start of the Times Free Press’ annual partnership with United Way to raise money for the Neediest Cases Fund.
The fund was started by our former publisher Adolph Ochs in 1914. Last year the Chattanooga community raised a whopping $80,000 for those in need of a helping hand.
The money goes to help families like Vandy Gibson and her three children when they found themselves unable to pay rent earlier this year.
If you have the means to do so, consider donating to this year’s campaign to provide a good day for one of our neighbors.
Now for some recent stories:
FREE VIEW OF THE ZOO: The Chattanooga Zoo is offering free admission to area health care workers.
MR. FOOTBALL: Three Chattanooga area students are among the finalists for the best preps football player in the state designation from the Tennessee Titans.
THANKSGIVING GALLERY: Check out these photos from Thanksgiving at the Salvation Army yesterday.
