In addition to inspecting food service establishments like brick-and-mortar restaurants and food trucks, the Hamilton County Health Department inspects public swimming pools at locations such as apartments and hotels. Here are the public swimming pools in the county that received a 90 or lower from their routine inspection this summer. Listed pools were inspected during the period of June 1-July 31, 2024.

Reasons include: Stones of decking were loose and popped up; pool chemicals were stored on the ground inside the pool area; no sanitizer was present, and chlorine sanitizer was at improper level; and there was algae on the sides of the pool walls.
84 Perry Village (Outdoor pool)

Reasons include: The pool wall tiles were in poor repair; there was no lifeline provided for the separation of shallow and deep ends of pool; there was not a tow rope or lemon ball provided on the life buoy; there was no ladder provided at the deep end of the pool; and pH and total alkalinity were both too low.

Reasons include: The tow rope and lemon ball were missing from the life ring; the shepherd’s hook was not attached to a 12-foot pole; the handrail leading into the pool was loose; pH, total alkalinity, cyanuric acid and chlorine were too low; and foreign debris was noted in the pool.
