A near-perfect first half pushed the University of Tennessee Lady Vols to a commanding lead on the way to a 76-51 win over Ole Miss in a quarterfinal game at the SEC women’s basketball tournament in Duluth, Ga.
UT is looking to sweep the SEC regular-season and tournament titles for the first time since 2000.
Behind a strong showing from part-time starter Alicia Manning, who has 21 points on 9-of-11 shooting, UT advanced into Saturday’s semifinals. The Lady Vols (28-2) led 50-25 at halftime against the Rebels (17-14).
